Which means his identity is fixed and permanent from that point on. Which of the several identities he's registered would that be then? Same problem with passports, only worse. ID cards using biometrics are the best way to fix identity. Only if they are unique and there is much doubt about that.

Physical NT security using biometrics
Not as brutal, some might successfully make an artificial copy of a real finger, or some might replay the electronic signals that the biometric sensors give. A practical problem with using biometrics is that some humans already have physical defects, eg missing arm, hand, fingers or eyes.

This shows that NASA was working on data mining, that this work had relevance to CAPPS follow-ups, and that it envisaged a system using biometrics to check both with a central database and to match the booked passenger with the flying passenger (page 12). Very little of this time has been with biometrics. Many companies are moving to such security devices and in this sort of enviorment, and biometrics has its uses. IMO, the whole point of using biometrics in this case is to render any keystroke logger useless. Seems like combining the two would re-open that vulnerability. Physical NT security using biometrics
Nothing to do with biometrics. I need to control access to a web application from those PC's. One access option would be username/password entry, but I'd like to offer an alternate method based on biometric authentication to speed use of the system. Using biometrics will likely not speed up anything.
